Syllabus:

Nature of data in the spatial sciences. Descriptive statistics - measures of central tendency and dispersion, correlation and co-variance. Linear and multiple regression. Error analysis - types of errors and their propagation. Probability distributions. The normal distribution. Hypothesis formulation and testing - student, chi-squared and fischer distributions.
