Syllabus: Periodontology - aetiology, pathogenesis and host response review, assessment, diagnosis, prognosis, treatment planning, prevention and treatment methods for chronic periodontitis, post-treatment care, maintenance, epidemiology. General - record keeping, occupational health issues. Dental radiography - radiation, machines, films, quality, safety, periapicals, bitewings, occlusals, post-clinical procedures, interpretation, errors, lateral obliques, panoramic radiographs.
