Syllabus:

Provides skills and knowledge to manage out across branch and department boundaries, which is assuming greater importance in the public sector. Topics covered include - the managing out imperative, citizens, clients and stakeholders, consultation and accountability, knowledge management and e-government, managing whole of government issues, skills for managing out, managing relationships with - communities, industry and other sectors. Managing the media and public relations. Three case studies are reviewed and conclusions explored.
