Syllabus: Clinical school dental therapy practice including patient assessment, preventive and treatment procedures. Patient information, records, treatment plans, referrals, consultations. Further occupational health considerations. Restorative dentistry - routine care, pulp therapies, management of complicated cases. Exodontia. Suture removal. Dental trauma. Mouthguards. Orthodontics - assessment, care of appliances. This unit has additional practical/clinical hours conducted outside of normal semester hours.
