Syllabus: Introduction to the concept of logistics management. Logistics as the management of flow of goods and services in profit and non-profit organisations. Overview of some typical logistics activities - transportation, materials management, inventory management, distribution, customer service, information systems and order processing. Case studies in logistics management for some organisations in the Pacific Rim.
