The learning model enables the gaining of research skills that will enable the ability to obtain leadership roles within the viticultural industry as well as in the broader agribusiness sector. Duration and AvailabilityThis course is one year full time or equivalent part-time study.Part-time students are expected to complete within two years. Course OrganisationThe course enables extended knowledge of current academic research methodology as it is applied to Oenology and demonstrates advanced knowledge and skills through the conduct of a supervised research project and preparation of an honours dissertation.This program consists of project work over two semesters. Oenology Honours 401 is undertaken as the first stage of the project work. Oenology Honours Project 402 is the final component of the research project and covers the execution and writing of theproject begun in Oenology Honours 401. A detailed review of the relevant literature will be completed under the guidance of the supervisor and if necessary the program objective will be refined. The necessary research and analytical skills will be developed that are required to assemble and analyse the results of the dissertation. Professional RecognitionGraduates are eligible for membership of the Australian Institute Agricultural Science (AIAIS). Career OpportunitiesGraduates will find employment with industries associated with the supply chain of the viticultural industry, including banks, as consultants and development officers.
