Duration and AvailabilityThis fee-paying course is three semesters full-time study or equivalent part-time study. Intermediate AwardsA student who has successfully completed all the requirements of the Postgraduate Diploma in Information Systems Management may apply under exceptional circumstance provisions for graduation in that award, subject to approval of the Head of School/Department. The core areas studied include managing information systems projects and risks, business information technology management, information security management, object-oriented design, advanced enterprise systems modelling, data mining and advanced database management, business intelligence and cyber warfare and problem-solving. Students may choose optional units from the areas of object-oriented programming, global network security, statistical data analysis, strategies for web management, strategic alignment of information systems, computer forensics, and new paradigms in e-business. Professional RecognitionWith a prior computing-related degree graduates may apply for membership of the Australian Computer Society and the British Computing Society.
