Introduction

This course is a combination of course and project work. It has been designed to cater for those already employed and intending to strengthen competence in areas related to the environment, and the management and development of natural resources. There is provision within the course for those intending to specialise in aquaculture or other areas to study some units other than those listed in the formal course structure.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites

A bachelor degree in science or a related discipline.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.

Duration and Availability

This fee paying course is of one year full-time duration or equivalent part-time study. However, it may be possible to satisfy requirements in other ways, for instance, parts of the research projects may be undertaken in short intensive periods, or it may be arranged that some units be taken in concentrated blocks at times suitable to students and staff rather than at fixed times during each week of the semester.
