Introduction
Designed so that students with management and supervisory experience within the services, tourism and hospitality industry can develop an understanding and gain an insight into the principles and processes of tourism management, while pursuing a broad-based program in the theory and practice of general business management. On successful completion of the Graduate Certificate, students may be eligible to enrol in the Graduate Diploma in Tourism Management, Postgraduate Diploma in Tourism Management, the Postgraduate Diploma in Business (Management), the Master of Commerce (Management), or the Master of Tourism Management degree programs.
Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites
A degree from a recognised institution or considerable relevant work experience at management level.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Applications for recognition of prior learning are not considered within this course.
Duration and Availability
This fee-paying course is one semester full-time or equivalent part-time study. Some units are available in the evenings.
Professional Recognition
Depending upon the major area of study chosen, graduates are eligible for membership of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Management.
