Introduction
This is an applied counselling course designed for professionals such as health professionals, pastors, educationists, and other human service workers using counselling and group work skills. It offers an opportunity to expand on existing counselling and group work skills for individual, organisational and community work. A feature of the program is flexibility, enabling focus on specific applied areas of interest.
Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites
A four year degree or equivalent, or a three year undergraduate degree and a postgraduate diploma in a related area. Applicants without this requirement but holding a three year degree in a related area with relevant work experience undertaking counselling, management, and policy-related activities at a senior level are considered.

Duration and Availability
This fee-paying course is one year full-time or equivalent part-time study. Entry into this course is available at the commencement of the year and mid-year. Applicants should consult the Course Coordinator to determine availability of units. Counselling Fieldwork 668 may commence four weeks prior to each semester. Remaining units follow the standard semester format.
Intermediate Awards
A student who has successfully completed all the requirements of the Graduate Diploma in Counselling (Health) may apply under exceptional circumstance provisions for graduation in that award subject to approval of the Head of School/Department. Additional Course Expenses
