Syllabus:

Curriculum designed as a product, a process and a field of study - issues arising from complexity. Inductive approaches to curriculum theory referring to design, dissemination, adoption, implementation, incorporation, continuance and diffusion. Deductive approaches to curriculum theory referring to conflicting conceptions of curriculum, its nature and purpose. Analysis of the theoretical implications of different theoretical approaches - the role of the teacher in the curriculum process.
