Syllabus:

Pharmacodynamics - Drugs acting at peripheral sites. Local hormones, inflammation and allergy. Antiplatelet and thrombolytic drugs. Immunosuppression. Drugs used to treat the epilepsies, neurodegenerative and behavioural disorders. Pharmacokinetics - Drug absorption, distribution, metabolism and elimination. Induction and inhibition of metabolism. Pharmacogenetics. Renal drug filtration, secretion and reabsorption. Bioavailability.
