Syllabus:

Properties of plastics, polymerisation processes, examples. Structure of thermoplastics, molecular weights, molecular weight distributions, effect of structure on properties. Structure and properties of thermosets - processing methods, extrusion, moulding. Melting point, glass transition temperature. Foams, rubbers, adhesives, reinforced plastics. Additives in plastics. New polymers.
