Syllabus:

Selected topics from - major features of physical oceanography. Generation, propagation and measurement of ocean waves. Mechanisms of tide generation. Measurement and prediction of tides. Large scale and coastal currents. Characteristics of sea water - disposal of waste in ocean waters. Remote sensing of the ocean.
