Basic information of the Australian health care systems; roles and relationships of medical and allied professional services, the role of the Health Information Manager, uses and value of health information and health records, introduction to law and health law concepts; health care and medical information systems, confidentiality and release of information, patient identification and numbering systems, functions of the health record service.
