Syllabus: |
Powder systems - the importance of particle size, granulation, particle size analysis, surface area measurement. Tablet formulation, compression and evaluation. Rheology - Newtonian and non-Newtonian flow, thixotropy, rheology in formulations and evaluation. Colloids and pharmaceutical suspensions, surface phenomena, suppositories, creams, pH and solubility, pharmaceutical buffers and isotonicity. |
