Syllabus:

Spectrophotometric analytical techniques. The concepts of pH, pKa and ionisation and their application in a pharmaceutical context. Reaction orders and reaction kinetics. Stereochemistry. Functional group chemistry, chemistry of carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, terpenes, steroids, vitamins, prostaglandins, thromboxanes and leukotrienes. Synthetic polymers. Drug - receptor interactions. Important pharmaceutical-chemical laboratory techniques.
