An historical study of the conditions and influences leading to the development of specialised interiors. Examination of a selection of publicly utilised spaces - retail complexes, commercial interiors, public entertainment and leisure centres, hospitality venues, health facilities and prisons. The dynamics of contemporary interior design. The history and development of interior design as a profession.
