Syllabus: |
History and development of disease classification, the structure and conventions of ICD-10-AM, basic coding principles and the retrieval of relevant information from health records for the classification of diseases and procedures in medicine. Terms relating to the body, medical examinations, specialties and body systems, stems, prefixes and suffixes, medical and surgical terminology. |
