Syllabus:

Raoult and Henrys Laws, activity coefficients, partial quantities and Gibbs-Duhem Equation. Ideal solutions, excess quantities, regular solutions, application of above to electromotive force measurements on alloys, relationship between these and phase diagrams, application of thermodynamic data to phase diagrams - Clausius Claperyon Equation. Ellingham diagrams and graphic representation of thermodynamic data - predominance area diagrams.
