Syllabus:

Provides an overview of health promotion and guidelines to develop a health promotion program. It consists of 10 related modules dealing with - foundations of health promotion, rationale for health promotion, needs assessments, evaluation, applying psychosocial theory to health promotion, planning and implementing health promotion interventions, community development and community participation, social capital, capacity building and sustainability. Contains a review of the application of theoretical and empirical evidence. It also references relevant policies and directions of national and international agencies including the WHO.
