Syllabus:

Radiography - Applications of tomography, radiographic procedures for theatre and mobile radiography. Contrast media, contrast procedures of the genito-urinary, biliary and alimentary systems. Radiography of the cranium, face, sinuses and mandible. Special radiographic techniques - macroradiography, paediatric, gynaecologic radiography and soft tissue radiography including mammography. Nuclear Medicine - Principles of nuclear medicine imaging of various systems and organs, skeletal, pulmonary, cardiovascular, endocrine and central nervous systems, renal, GI tract (including blood loss), liver, spleen and infection/inflammatory disease imaging. Performance of bone, lung, cardiac, renal, and thyroid scans. The radiopharmaceutical laboratory - design and regulations, chemistry of technetium and iodine, radiopharmaceuticals -design and reconstitution, radio-labelling of blood components, quality control and radiation safety.
