The course incorporates a range of new concepts, methodologies and technologies aimed at supporting organisations in achieving corporative objectives by the application of computing and communications based technologies in electronic business environments. Recognition of Prior LearningApplications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis. Duration and AvailabilityThis fee paying course is one and a half years full-time or equivalent part-time study. Intermediate AwardsA student who has successfully completed all the requirements of the Postgraduate Diploma in Electronic Business may apply under exceptional circumstance provisions for graduation in that award, subject to approval of the Head of School/Department. Course OrganisationThe Master of Electronic Business consists of 12 units of study each carrying a weighting of 25 credits totalling 300 credits. The core areas studied includes managing information systems projects and risks, enterprise network infrastructure, informationsecurity management, object oriented programming, web design and architecture, organisational behaviour, research methods and problem solving. Students may undertake a research project or choose optional units from the areas of object-oriented design, datamining and advanced database design, enterprise network security, strategic logistics management, web services, enterprise network management, strategic alignment of information systems, business intelligence and cyberwarfare, Professional RecognitionWith a prior computing related degree graduates may apply for membership of the Australian Computer Society and the British Computing Society.
