It is designed for beginners with no prior study of the language. Those with some prior study are assigned to a class of appropriate level. Course Entry Requirements/PrerequisitesA degree in an appropriate discipline or equivalent. Recognition of Prior LearningApplications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis. Duration and AvailabilityAs the two language units must be taken consecutively, the course cannot be completed in one semester of full-time study. This fee paying course is of two semesters part-time duration. Additional Course ExpensesStudents may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other vital study materials. In addition, students may also need to contribute some of the cost of consumables, which varies depending on the area of study.
