Introduction


This course enables applicants with an undergraduate degree in business, commerce, economics or a related field to develop further expertise in accounting. Unit selection allows for focusing on specific professional objectives.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites


A bachelor degree in business, commerce, economics or other appropriate field from a recognised Australian tertiary institution, or equivalent qualification. Students must have appropriate academic preparation in the intended field of specialisation.

Recognition of Prior Learning


Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.

Duration and Availability


This fee-paying course is of one year full-time or equivalent part-time study.

Course Organisation


Substitution of additional individual study and research units may be permitted for students with appropriate prior preparation. Where, in previous tertiary studies, a student has completed part of the requirements for a particular unit, an appropriate substitute unit will be determined.

Additional Course Expenses


Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other vital study materials. In addition, students may also need to contribute some of the cost of consumables, which varies depending on the area of study.
