It involves managing a project from inception to completion and the successful attainment of the project objectives. The course provides the opportunity to gain the understanding, knowledge and skills necessary for performing the role of project manager. It adopts a generic approach to project management and is applicable to any project in such industries as construction, engineering, education, health, commerce, information technology, research and development. Course Entry Requirements/PrerequisitesAppropriate bachelors degree from a recognised tertiary institution and a minimum two years relevant work experience or a Graduate Certificate in Project Management. Recognition of Prior LearningApplications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis. Duration and AvailabilityThis fee paying course is three semesters full-time or equivalent part-time study. Intermediate AwardsA student who has successfully completed all the requirements of the Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in Project Management may apply for graduation in that award subject to approval of the Faculty Dean. Additional Course ExpensesStudents may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other vital study materials.
