173609 v.2 Bachelor of Science (Nursing) (Honours)BSc(Hons)(Curtin) IntroductionThis course provides further research knowledge and skills in nursing as well as extending theoretical perspectives in preparation for postgraduate studies. A principle component of this course is centred around the planning, conduct and presentation of an honours research project. Course Entry Requirements/PrerequisitesRefer to Admission into Honours Degree Programs and Regulations for Honours Degree in the General Information section of the Curtin Courses Handbook. Only students with outstanding performance in undergraduate study will be considered for entry into the honours program. Students intending to apply for entry must have achieved a minimum course weighted average of at least 65 per cent or higher, although some courses require at least 70 per cent or higher. Candidates should inform the Course Coordinator of an intention to apply for entry to the honours program prior to or immediately after the conclusion of undergraduate study. Preference will be given to students who have demonstrated an ability and interest in research and a commitment to academic excellence. Recognition of Prior LearningApplications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.
