Syllabus: | Two modules: Acoustics: introduction to building acoustics including acoustics history, practical measurements, sound insulation, reverberation, and noise (internal and external to a building). Lighting: introduction to architectural lighting including light fittings, calculation of simple daylighting schemes and practical exercises, and conducting simple lighting simulations using radiance. |
