Syllabus: | An introduction (at an advanced level) to contemporary visual art theoretical discourse. Students are given instruction in the use of contemporary thought in dealing with the meaning and practice of art and contribute to a weekly tutorial program. Students prepare an essay based on a critique of a current piece of critical writing that relates to their major research interests. |
