Syllabus: | This unit will explore the function of property in global capital markets. Building on the skills developed in Property Finance students will apply finance theory at the aggregate capital market level, explore private and public real estate equity markets and evaluate unlisted and listed property trusts (A-REITS). Private and public debt markets and mortgage backed securities will also be discussed. Portfolio theory will be applied to property assets and the analysis and valuation of property securities analysed. The unit will also cover international property investment, diversification, property investment management, new innovations in property finance, property derivatives and option pricing models through the use of a wide range of case studies and computers models. |
