Syllabus: This unit will provide an understanding of spatial planning, hierarchies and adjacencies through exploratory mapping and diagramming. The unit will evaluate planning methodologies utilising built in and loose furnishing elements to define space and function of an interior through studio work and function workshops. Professional and industry design standards and building codes will be discussed and related to the planning and design of domestic and commercial interiors. Students will undertake construction documentation and detailing.
