Syllabus: | Enhancement of occupational performance through the application of occupational therapy interventions for people with musculoskeletal, general medical and orthopaedic conditions, within the frameworks of the International Classification of Functioning (ICF) and Person Environment Occupation (PEO). Practical skill development to assess and manage a selection of musculoskeletal, general medical and orthopaedic conditions. Application of occupational therapy practice skills including patient transfers and mobility, wheelchairs and pressure care selection, home visiting, prescription and modification of ADL equipment, assistive technology and universal design. Management of acute and chronic pain. |
