Syllabus: Basic embryology and pathophysiological processes of the digestive, urinary, reproductive, neurological, vascular and endocrine systems. Cross sectional anatomy of the above systems as well as the upper and lower extremities. Additional Tuition Pattern: This unit will be delivered fully externally. The student will have no compulsory attendance at the university during the semester. The student will receive a study guide at the commencement of the semester that outlines the activities to be completed on a week by week, module by module basis. WebCT will be utilised to deliver ilectures, discussion forums, wikis, areas to upload interesting cases and allow the student to access additional resource material and activities. E-Reserve will provide access to additional journals etc. The student will have regular contact and feedback with the unit coordinator via e-mail and the discussions forums.
