Syllabus: | Exploration of various broad approaches to the conduct of research in Indigenous contexts, including different research paradigms. Examination of Indigenous, critical, interpretive and positivist research approaches and ways of knowing the world. Explores the ways in which the dominant research frameworks can devalue Indigenous people’s knowledge and lived experiences. Considers emergent approaches to research and their applicability to Indigenous contexts. |
