Syllabus: Analysis of highway pavement as a load bearing system, including the theoretical background, the technology of component and construction and maintenance methods. Pavement design, choice of pavement types. Materials and construction for rigid and flexible pavement. Methods of test control. Surface water drainage design. Surface maintenance, repairs and riding – quality assessment
