Syllabus: | This unit provides a comprehensive study of the risk management concepts with particular focus on the role of insurance in Australia. It will explore the risk management process in the context of both personal and business protection. The types of insurance produces through various structures and platforms are explored including life and disablement insurance, income protection, health and general insurance. The unit further offers a critical analysis of major developments, reforms and the legislative framework that governs the industry. |
