Syllabus: | Diseases of Occupations examines the relationship between work and health. Students will be introduced to the history of occupational medicine, hazards in workplace, assess work related diseases/disorders and the medical surveillance system, and apply the knowledge and principle of Epidemiology and Toxicology in occupational medicine. Management of occupational diseases such as lung diseases cancer skin diseases and infections will be covered. Also addressed are physical hazards, occupational poisoning and related disease/disorders. |
