Introduction
This major within the Master of Public Health will focus on the nutritional aspects of health and disease both within and outside Australia. With major concerns about obesity and malnutrition and its impact on health status, chronic disease and risk factors, graduates will be able to broaden their knowledge and competence on this topical area. This major will not meet the requirements to be registered as a dietetian.

N1 Students who select Research Project 650 will need to complete a total of six optional units.
N2 Students must complete Research Dissertation 601 if they first select Research Dissertation 600.
NB Students may only select the dissertation if they have a course weighted average of 70% over both semester one and two. (The dissertation is comprised of two units).
