Syllabus: Use a systems approach to assess, diagnose, manage, document and evaluate care related to specialised health care needs of patients/families. Apply therapeutic communication and meet nursing competency standards in selected clinical contexts. Medication dosage calculations. Advanced skills: venpuncture and cannulation, multiple wound and burns care. Integrated care of the unconscious, bedfast patient. End of life care and last offices. Peer teaching and skill demonstration.
