Syllabus: | Introduction to nursing processes, scope of practice and decision making framework. Physical, mental state and risk assessment data collection, documentation and interpretation of data. Apply therapeutic communication and meet nursing competency standards in selected clinical contexts. Apply principles of primary health care. Utilise Australian and International health data to review health issues and determine strategies for promotion of wellness across the lifespan in community contexts. Utilise existing data to evaluate contemporary health care issues and outcomes across Australia; individual, family, and community. Apply principles of client / patient education and educational resource development. Provide nursing care to support patient self care/ well-being across the lifespan. Medication mathematics competency. |
