|
Syllabus: | This unit focuses entirely on the unique eco-systems of Borneo's vast rainforests. It will elaborate on the evolutionary and ecological processes that have enabled the tremendously high biodiversity of Borneo. As well as discussing the issues that seriously threaten that biodiversity today, such as the slow destruction of Borneo rainforests and ecosystems due to excessive logging practices over the years, modern preservation practices and efforts will also be addressed in this unit. (This unit is particularly recommended for School of Engineering students). |
