Syllabus: | This unit will focus on the management of the environment. Three key themes will be developed: conservation of flora and fauna; sustainable use of resources; and the burden that human society places on the environment. These themes will be developed through lectures, interactive discussions, preparation of information sheets and essays, and field visits to relevant organisations involved in the management of environmental resources. In addition to development of these themes the unit will introduced you to a range of potential careers in environmental biology and some skills to aid finding full time work as a biologist. |
