| Syllabus: | Designed for students with TEE Discrete Mathematics. Algebra. Basic manipulations. Solving equations and inequalities, factorisation, simultaneous equations, index laws and laws of logs. Functions: manipulate and graph linear, quadratic, cubic, exponential and logarithmic functions. Calculus. Basic differentiation of above functions including chain, product and quotient rules. Integration of polynomial and exponential functions. Probability: concepts, rules and applications. Discrete probability distributions: probability functions; cumulative distribution functions, expected values, uniform, binomial and Poisson distributions. Continuous probability distributions: pdf, cdf, expected values, normal and exponential distributions. |
