Syllabus: | Embedded microcontroller programming, simulation, compiling and downloading, using timers and interrupts; basic PCB design using CAD software; voltage-regulated power supply design; optoisolation; serial communications; UART interfacing; 'master-slave' protocol design; high-level PC programming; PWM control of DC motors, using analog-to-digital converters, using matrix keypads and controlling LCD displays. Students work in teams to program and control a mobile robot. |
