Syllabus: | Sustainable industry through cleaner production and eco-efficiency. Generic eco-efficiency principles and cleaner production practices and methods. Impacts on productivity and profitability. Historic development of cleaner production, Eco-efficiency and related preventive environmental management concepts in different parts of the world. Principles and examples of life cycle design, and design for the environment. Environmental management systems and standards (ISO 14001). Students are to attend a three-hour lecture once every three weeks. |
