Syllabus: | Soil porosity and electrical properties of soils, rocks and groundwater. Environmental magnetism and radiometrics. Management of agricultural land in saline environments: defining the problem in geophysical terms. Airborne radiometric surveys and soil/regolith mapping. Mapping salt storage with ground based and downhole EM and resistivity systems. Airborne electromagnetic methods for environmental investigations. DEM in salinity studies. Data integration in GIS and data mining. Groundwater exploration. Mapping groundwater contamination. Environmental impact of geophysical surveys. Archaeology and geophysics. |
