| Syllabus: | This unit is designed for students with literacy skills in the Chinese language and some knowledge of China. It uses translating and interpreting topics to help students improve their intercultural communication skills. Students will be encouraged to critically examine linguistics and cultural features of both the Chinese and the English languages in order to improve their ability to render texts and facilitate communications between speakers of those two languages. Preparation for accreditation as para-professional translators. |
