This course is not available to International Onshore Students on Student Visas
Introduction
The course is designed for migrant and domestic students needing to develop their English language proficiency in order to meet Curtin's literacy requirement.
Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites
This course is only available for domestic and migrant students with an English proficiency level of not less than IELTS band 5 in all four skill areas, or a TOEFL score of 520 or a CUTE D (in addition to the University's standard entry requirements).
Duration and Availability
This course is one semester full-time study. Part-time study is available to permanent residents.
Course Organisation
Students normally undertake all four units over one semester. In part-time mode, the four units of the course are conducted over two semesters.
Additional Course Expenses
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other essential study materials.
