Syllabus (HB) - C2010:	This unit explores Asia's major religions and philosophical systems such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Taoism, Confucianism, Shinto and Shamanism. The aim of the unit is to relate their unique views on life, afterlife, reincarnation, divinity, environment, health, human nature and self to society and cultural practices. By understanding how everyday life and social institutions reflect religious and philosophical systems, the unit aims to increase 'literacy' in Asian societies and cultures. The approach of this course is analytical and comparative and does not advocate any particular religious or philosophical doctrine.
