Syllabus: | Review of simple harmonic motion, damped harmonic motion, non-linear systems, forced oscillations, transient and steady state terms, coupled oscillations, normal modes of vibration, transverse waves, reflection and transmission coefficients and longitudinal waves. In addition to the analytical solutions, numerical solutions will be considered when necessary. |
